Erin and Mike Mikolich are your local source for Real Estate at Hidden Valley Resort. Hidden Valley residents since 2001, Erin and Mike are with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty. They are both very active in the Hidden Valley community and serve on the recreation and social committee and the architectural planning committee for the Hidden Valley Foundation. Mike and Erin live in Hidden Valley with their 8-year-old daughter, Madison.
With over 26 years combined experience in Real Estate, Erin since 2004 and Mike since 2008, they have the pulse of the Hidden Valley market. When asked to define the appeal of Hidden Valley, Erin commented, “The appeal of Hidden Valley is the family atmosphere, along with being located in the heart of the Laurel Highlands with easy access to the many attractions.
The majority of the homebuyers they work with are from the Pittsburgh region and were referred to the Mikolich Team by friends and family members. They have had several repeat buyers throughout the years that have either purchased an additional unit or were looking to buy a bigger property.
Regarding the profile of the current Hidden Valley homeowners Mike said, “The demographic of the home buyer is ages 40 – 60 and the psychographic breakdown is that people like to ski, it is a family-oriented gathering place and people love the outdoors.”
When asked about what Hidden Valley has to offer in terms of housing Mike added, “You can purchase a one-bedroom condominium from $60,000 and up, a 3 to 4-bedroom townhouse from $200,000 - $300,000, and the houses range from $300,000 to $800,000. Currently the 3 to 4-bedroom units are in the highest demand, especially if they are close to the ski slopes or swimming pools.”
Erin and Mike both grew up in the Jennerstown area and met in high school. They decided to move to Hidden Valley after they had looked in the Ligonier area for months. They liked the appeal of all the outdoor activities that Hidden Valley offers. Eventually, they were looking for a new adventure; something that did not involve a typical Monday to Friday, 9-5:00 work week. That is when they decided to go into Real Estate.
